So she can be baptized!!
These two great missionaries are working so hard.  They are a light in Katherine
Sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and inviting all to come closer to the Savior.
We love you Elders and are so excited for all that is happening here.
This is Kayla who was baptized a week ago.  Her sweet baby was blessed and given
A name at church this weekend.  We are so thankful for Priesthood ordinances.
This is a great family who are experiencing the blessings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

NT Trip

President and sister Parkers first trip to Katherine was absolutely amazing.  From
Start to finish we loved it all.  The work is hastening and exciting things are happening
And we couldn't wit to see how it was all happening.  The first blessing was getting
To spend 4 hours in the car with Elder and Sister Farrer.  Not too many people can say
They served a mission with their sister and brother-in-law!  But because of the
Size of this mission, we are thousands of miles apart and when we do go to Darwin, we
Are so busy that this was just a gift to get to spend time with them in their last few
Weeks.  Here we are checking in to the Motel in Katherine and who did we meet?

Sister Craigs auntie!!!  Sister Craig was serving in Darwin when we first came to the
Mission.  We love her so much and it was a blast meeting her auntie and uncle.
We were able to witness the beautiful baptism of Mersenia Hankin.  She was baptized
By Elder Atkinson in the Katherine Hot Springs.  She was just radiant and so excited to
Be baptized.  She looked like an angel.
Elder Atkinson and Mersenia.
Mercenia with the Elders who taught her.  Elder Atkinson who baptized her and
Elder Hammond who confirmed her a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter Day Saints.
Elder Farrer found just the right pole to check the depth of the water and find just
The right place.
Elder Hammond sang a beautiful hymn.

Sister Parker talked on baptism.
Sister Wamsley spoke on the Holy Ghost.
President Parker welcoming Mercenia and congratulating her on this great decision.
Elder Farrer and Elder Hammond help her into the water.Curious onlookers in the
Background.
She is ready:)

This is the Self Reliance  class where all seats were full and all were engaged in this
Exciting work!Elder and Sister Lea are great teachers!!
Members and Non members alike came with their devices to learn how to  become
More self reliant.
All ages enjoyed this night.
Also, baptisms in Alice Springs Branch!

Zone Conference

Flew to Alice Springs with the assistants and President Parker held interviews all day.
Then we had Zone Conference with these incredible missionaries.  Although miles
From the rest of the mission, in any direction, they are obedient, they are diligent and
They are inviting all to come unto Christ. We are so grateful for Elder and Sister Lea
Who have unlimited capabilities and are all in!  Elder and Sister Lea, Sister Leaupepe,
Sister Samita, Elder Raiqisa, Elder Punou, Elder Barfuss, Elder Jordan, Elder Hayes,
Elder Tigafua, elder Dietze, Elder Taleo and Elder Ruppe.
It was a good thing that we all got the memo!  Love these awesome sisters!!
Celebrating birthdays!!!  Happy Birthday to Elder Raiqisa and Elder Barfuss!
After training in the morning its time for a delicious lunch provided by Elder and
Sister Lea.
Elder Punou (Bush Elder) and Elder Taleo (Zone Leader) enjoying lunch.
Elder Dietze and President Parker filling their plates.
Elder Tigafua (Zone Leader) and Elder Ruppe(assistant) enjoying some chicken chile
Over rice.  Yum!!!
Elder Lea dishing up some Otai made by the Alice Springs sisters.  It is a drink
Popular in Samoa made of watermelon, cream, pineapple, and other fruits.  It is
So delicious!!  Thank you Sisters!! Elder Lea is also sporting his very handsome
Aboriginal tie he got at Uluru.
Elder Jordan treated us with some wonderful cherry cobbler!  He is quite the chef!

A wonderful day together.  Although we don't take photos, a majority of the day was
Spent in the chapel for Zone Conference.  There was a great spirit there as we learned
Together.  Elder Lea taught a training on Bike maintenance.  Because we are a biking
Mission, these missionaries can help  by maintaining their bikes as much as possible.

Ended a great day by having dinner at the Oriental Restaurant.  How blessed we are
To serve with obedient, kind, missionaries who are here to love and serve their brothers and
Sisters in Alice Springs.  A great memory!!Love you Elders and Sisters!

Assistants

Had a special evening with these 2 great missionaries.  The assistants to the President
Carry a heavy load.  We are so grateful for these two Elders who lead this mission  as
Christ would have them.  They are powerful teachers.  They are great leaders.  They
Are humble servants of the Lord.  They are loyal and faithful, respectful and serve with
All diligence  and with much love.  We enjoyed dinner together in the mission home,
Talked about the responsibilities and expectations of an assistant, shared some
Sacred time and then took this great photo.  We love you Elder Dietze and Elder
Ruppe and are grateful for all you do. May you both be blessed for the consecrated
Way you live your lives and lead this mission.

I believe this is a selfie:)

And how fun is this?  Elder Wilkins, who served as an assistant to the President
Was able to visit Elder Ruppes family recently while in North Carolina.  We love
These missionaries and their great families and hope to meet many of them  one day.

So blessed to have wonderful senior couples who work so hard .  They bless the lives of
The young missionaries in so many ways.  A home cooked meal is such a treat and they
Love getting to know each other better.  HEre Elder and Sister Rohlfing have dinner in
Their flat with Elder Salcedo and Elder Shum.

We had a wonderful and loved visitor here in Adelaide for a few days.  Elder Tolbert
From St. George Utah came to visit his mission and see all that has been happening.
Since he served and was a huge part of laying the foundation for the City Branch,
Helping to find the building, and so many other things,  it was quite a blessing to
See the fruits of his labors.  Here with Branch President Shaun Scott, and the assistants,
Elder Dietze and Elder Ruppe.  We love you Elder Tolbert.  Thank you for your
Incredible service in the Australia, Adelaide Mission.
