Kangaroo Island

Thursdday morning we drove the 2 hours to catch the Ferry to Kangaroo Island.
Although we have been here a year, we have not been to this island. We no longer
have missionaries serving on Kangaroo Island as they pulled them  out before we arrived
last July.  Here we are ready to board the Ferry!

Hot chocolate for everyone on the Ferry!

We were glad we had hats and coats as it was very cold and windy on the Ferry.
But we had the best surprise ever!!!

A Humpback Whale was spotted so they stopped the Ferry.  We were allowed to go
out on deck and watch it and boy was it putting on a show for us.  It was jumping
and turning and even waving to us with its fin.  A lady next to us said she had lived
on Kangaroo Island for 40 years and had made the Ferry trip many times and had
never seen a whale.  We picked the right day!

Once we landed on the island we went straight to Cliffords Honey Farm-one of our
favorite stops! And why is this honey farm unique?  Because Kangaroo Island has
the only Ligurian bees in the world.  No one is allowed to bring honey onto this island.

Brinley was happy to be the QUEEN BEE and Jalen not so happy to be the worker
bee!

More kinds of honey than we could imagine.  And the best thing was we got to
taste test them.  They have different flavors depending on the kind of flower
that is pollinated.

Enjoying honey ice cream after touring the Bee Farm:)

Grandpa and Brighton enjoying some of their favorite things.  Brighton-ice cream
and Grandpa-a root beer.

Now who gets to be the Queen Bee? And I think the worker bee fits President Parker!
