Alice Springs

What do you do on New Years Eve in Alice Springs when your a missionary?  Well
we had a great day together lifting and edifying one another as we studied and taught
how to be better Preach My Gospel missionaries.  Then thanks to the McMullins we
were able to enjoy dinner together at Oriental Gourmet.

May 2017 be a great year of inviting all to come unto Christ and rejoicing in the
Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We were so thankful to spend this wonderful evening with these valiant missionaries.
We love you all.  Happy New Year!!

The next morning President and I were able to attend church with the Alice Springs
Branch.  We love these members here so very much.   Then we decided to drive to
Amoonguna and enjoy Sacrament Meeting with a few more Saints. On the way we
passed this fun sign.  We haven't been out to this place yet but it looks like it would be fun!

Just a little friend I saw on the way to the car from the hotel.  You have to be careful
which rock you sit on in the Northern Territory!

Pulling in the community of Amoonguna. This is a very nice place.  They have a
school and a medical facility and a very nice park.

What a joy to be with these sweet people as we held Sacrament meeting conducted by
Elder Hammond and Elder Langi. The children were very reverent .  We couldn't
get the i-pad to work out there so we sang acapella. There was a great spirit there
and it was a privilege to be there.

While there President Parker had the tender privilege of blessing this sweet baby girl.
Congratulations to this precious mother and her baby who now has been presented
to the Lord and given a name and a blessing.

One of the beautiful gifts of the Aboriginal culture, is the dot painting that has been
passed down from generation to generation.  Many of the missionaries in this mission
have the covers of their scriptures or hymn books dotted!  I loved seeing Elder
Corotans scriptures as he Catches the Wave!!!
